ปกติเรามักใช้การเดินเป็นวิธีการเดินทางและสำรวจเมืองอยู่แล้ว แต่ไม่ค่อยได้ถ่ายภาพระหว่างทางมากนัก พอช่วงหลังทำโปรเจกต์ walk wander ที่อยากส่งเสริมให้คนออกมาเดินกันมากขึ้น พร้อมๆ กับอยากผลักดันแนวคิด Walkable City ก็ทำให้สอดส่องสายตามองหาคอนเทนต์มาเขียน บวกกับถ่ายภาพมากขึ้นตามไปด้วย . ‘ป้าย ฟอนต์ และการออกแบบหน้าร้าน’ เป็นซีนแรกๆ ในระหว่างทางที่เราจะเห็นเวลาเดิน นอกจากชื่อร้านที่บางทีก็สุดแสนครีเอทีฟจนเผลออมยิ้ม การจับคู่สี ออกแบบฟอนต์ หรือกระทั่งการจัดวางป้ายหน้าร้านก็นับเป็นศิลปะริมถนนหรือในตรอกซอกซอยที่ชวนให้ตั้งใจมอง ยังไม่นับการเดินไปวิเคราะห์กับเพื่อนร่วมทางไปถึงอายุของร้าน บริบทของย่าน และรายละเอียดอื่นๆ อีกนะ อยากชวนให้ทุกคนออกไปเดินสำรวจเมืองกันเยอะๆ สนุกด้วยแข็งแรงด้วย . ภาพและข้อความ : เดือนเพ็ญ จุ้ยประชา #UrbanCreature #ป้าย #thaipographyarchive

I got to visit Bangkok last month, and one of the definite highlights of the trip was a day at บ้านพิพิธภัณฑ์ ๒ งิ้วราย (House of Museums) just outside the city. nIt’s a wonderland filled to the brim with collectibles, nic-nacs, packaging, and graphic design.
